How long have you been doing what you do and how did you come to found Word Glue Marketing?
Word Glue Marketing is a content creation marketing business based in Cornwall, United Kingdom. We are a small business with our roots firmly in the hospitality, customer service, property, digital marketing & SEO sectors.
We are Mother & Son. We decided to combine our extensive sales, marketing, and copywriting experiences to form Word Glue Marketing when we realised that working together combined our talents and expertise in a way that we could reach out to other small businesses, and help them grow.
Helen Boss
I have a small business background, having been born and brought up in our family hotel in St Ives, Cornwall. I’ve gone on to work in sales and marketing for many years, working in estate agency, logistics, customer service, and of course, hospitality.
Whilst the children were young, (I have 2 sons), I got involved with online marketing, so combining the two now with Word Glue Marketing means that I am able to pass on a lifetime of skills, learned at the coal face! I understand what it takes to build a business and keep it going whilst at the same time as juggling the many hats you wear in your day in order to keep moving forward.
Apart from writing here at Word Glue Marketing, I also write on Medium, another great tool for spreading the message of your business!
William Palmer
I was also born into a multi-generational family business based in Leicestershire. Growing up in a family business, watching and learning what it takes to sustain growth year in and year out rubbed off!
I spent my teenage years playing tennis, based in Barcelona, Spain and then progressing to university in Illinois, United States of America. Upon returning to the United Kingdom, it was inevitable that I would end up working for myself. Tennis is a demanding sport where each decision you make is for you and by you alone. One way of switching off from the cut & thrust of playing was to write poetry. I found I loved words and was good at expressing in writing something that others can only say.
I currently write for digital marketing agencies as a ghostwriter on all things SEO as a freelancer. I am a co-founder, playtester, and writer for the website The Tennis Bros.com, where I am still able to indulge my love of sport!
